September 2026 summary
September was a dramatic month, here’s hoping October is a little more normal.
Mina update: at the beginning of the month Mina was not quite up for receiving chemotherapy so she was sent home from her appointment, which is not ideal because delays bring down the effectiveness of the treatment. Then at the end of the month when she went to her next appointment, she ended up being admitted due to internal bleeding and some other complications. As of the first week of October she was still in the hospital, eager to get back to the sanctuary as soon as possible. In the meantime, Rakan is doing much of the heavy lifting at AnimO and managing the other on-site volunteers so the sanctuary keeps running as it should.
