May was a big month!
Mina

Mina came home from the hospital! She finished radiation and had a break for two weeks before starting another course of chemo at the end of the month. There are a lot of routine adjustments and precautions in place to keep her healthy, but she is happy to be home with the animals, with the team, and with the growing community around the sanctuary.
AnimO

AnimO, Mina, and Harry the volunteer were featured on an episode of Why Did You Come to Japan? Unfortunately, the video is no longer available for streaming.

There is new merch in the store! animo-sanctuary-shop.fourthwall.com

Jessica of Market Photography took photographs of all the adoptable dogs so those can be shared and homes can be found. Read bios of each dog here: https://www.animosanctuary.org/adoption-list Also check out her other work! https://www.instagram.com/marketphotographyllc

Our new live-in volunteer, Rakan, is doing an amazing job under unusual circumstances. He changed his flight to be able to help out earlier than originally scheduled, and has been absolutely invaluable at AnimO. He is taking care of not just the animals, but also Mina while she is dealing with painful side effects of this new course of chemotherapy.
New faces

It is definitely kitten season again! We received a huge influx of kittens, 12 kittens in 4 days. We are endlessly grateful that PAWS (Pets are Worth Saving), the volunteer-run rescue organization associated with Yokosuka Naval Base, has offered to care for and find homes for our kittens and mama cats. https://www.pawsyokosuka.org/

New wild faces are Ash the young fox and Asha, the first injured baby crow of the season. The goal is to rehabilitate them and release them into the wild.
Thank you to everyone on the Patreon, as well as everyone else that sent or brought packages of supplies. Every single donation is appreciated!
If you know someone who wants to support AnimO, or if you want to help more, there are lots of ways!
If you would like to contribute to Mina's cancer treatments, that is also welcome!
