Here's what happened in June!

The newest meerkat has officially been introduced to the AnimO colony and it couldn't have gone better!

Russell Kuro

A new rescued crow has come to AnimO, we're calling him Russell Kuro, or Russ for short. We treated him for a broken wing and dehydration, and he was very underweight. He's in a recovery cage for the next few weeks, and our resident crow (Ashley) seems excited for him to heal up and come play.

Another two new faces this month are the pigs Rose and Hamlett. Their owner passed away and they were going to be put down, but an amazing person stepped in to drive them all the way across the country to us instead. Since then, this hero has been staying at AnimO to volunteer, and we are happy to have him for as long as he can stay.

Students from a local school visited AnimO for a hands-on animal welfare learning experience. They brought donations of blankets, pet food, and other things that are always helpful. They asked great questions and showed so much care for the animals, and we are excited to build this relationship into a student work experience.

Mina and the Italian volunteers

We would also like to recognize these three incredible volunteers from Italy, they have been at AnimO for the whole month of June. They have done so much to help clear space, remove trash from before we moved, and organize. They have also been very good with the animals.

Thank you to everyone on the Patreon, as well as everyone else that sent or brought packages of supplies. Every single donation is appreciated!

If you know someone who wants to support AnimO, or if you want to help more, there are lots of ways!
